Black Fish

The documentary that I decided to watch was Black Fish, a film that tells the sad story of the killer whales that are being mistreated over at Sea World in San Diego, California. The film starts telling the story of the killer whales being in the wild and being brutally being captured and being separated from their mothers in the process. The main whale that was made known to the audience is Tilikum, who was separated from his mother at a very young age and was Sea Worlds main attraction. It goes in depth about how they would inhumanly hurt him if he would disobey their orders. Eventually this would catch up, Tilikum started acting out and hurting the trainers and soon enough kill a few. This came to be because of the brutal and inhumane ways of "training" was going on behind the doors at Sea World. It's sad to know that this continues to go on even though the acts was made public, the crazy behavior goes on. This is an intense and moving documentary that opens the eyes of the public to what goes behind the entertainment they love so much.
